Hi I'm Jaxon Curtis

I'm athletic and enjoy all sports. I'm creative. I'm serving a mission in the California Redlands Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Boston, Massachusetts. I'm an older brother of three siblings. I have been raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life. My family and I have moved back and forth between New England and Texas. Currently, we live in Texas and I recently graduated from High School. I enjoy spending time with my friends. I look forward to church activities for the youth because I am able to connect and meet new people of my same faith. I love to play basketball and tennis. I like cinematography and find it fun to create videos. I'm a Utah State Aggie. I am excited to serve the Lord in the California Redlands Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a firm belief that being a member of this church is the reason why I'm happy. It's the reason why I continue to live my life the way I do. It's the reason why I am learning that Christ has given us trials as learning experience, in order to gain insight toward our eternal progression. It's the reason why I am thankful for my family and all that they do for me. It's the reason why I love being a Mormon. I have a knowledge that Christ is our Savior and loves us. We are his children and through living righteously each day, we can be blessed. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet, seer, and revelator that leads us in the right path. I know that if we are diligent in paying our tithing, blessings will come our way. I have come to know through humble prayer that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and is vital in continuing to learn more about His gospel. I know that the Holy Ghost is a constant reminder for us to be seeking to understand our eternal purpose in this life.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I feel it is best to live my life through example. Whether am I at school, with my friends, or out and about somewhere, I live my life through the light of Christ. I'm always trying to be happy and smile when interacting with others. When the topic of religion is brought up when talking with someone, I try to find similarities or relate the LDS church to their religious beliefs in order to yield a positive, uplifting conversation. For my leadership position, I'm in charge of leading a group of young men ages 16-18. I plan activities that include everyone's interests and unify the quorum. During church meetings, we have the opportunity to bless the sacrament. Through this process, we can come closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
