Hi I'm Suzie

I am a stay at home mom raising 6 children. I LOVE being a full time wife and mother and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 28 years to my dream man. I grew up always wanting to be a mom and have children in my life. I graduated college with an Elementary Education degree, but chose to stay home with our six children. My creative homemaking interests blossomed as I truly worked, studied, prayed and learned "on the job". My husband and I are a great team and we enjoy our weekly date nights to rekindle our love for each other. I enjoy the outdoors and gardening. I play the piano and organ. I LOVE MUSIC and the spirit that it brings into my heart and our home. I love life, laughter and the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I have learned to rely on the Lord and His timing and His will for me. This brings me great comfort and great peace. I know I have a Heavenly Father and a Savior Jesus Christ. By the power of the Holy Ghost, I can know and continue to feel their love and appreciation for me and the choices and sacrifices I have given to live the commandments and follow their teachings. I have read the Book of Mormon and regularly study the scriptures. They are the word of God to me. I pray daily for help from them. I feel tired and have challenges but I feel the Savior's love and grace and power to help me do things I otherwise could not do alone. I desire to return back to my Heavenly Father and my Savior and have my entire family with me also. Each child is a great gift of God to me. With each birth, I felt an undeniable connection with God in bringing them into this world. My children are my treasures and have brought me my greatest challenges, but also my greatest joys. I do not remember the painful trials we have had because they have been replaced with joy and love as I've place my burdens at His feet and He has truly made them sweet and for my good. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.(Phillipians 4:13)

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the motto of "never give up" and "things always have a way of working out". I have been diagnosed with clinical depression and have been on medication for it for 14 years. I struggled to truly believe that I had this since my life was so very blessed, why should I feel so sad and empty? I love that even on those days and seasons when I didn't "feel" the Lord, I could know that He was near and to trust Him even though I couldn't see or feel Him at the moment. I learned to "wait on the Lord" and watch for His hand to bless my life. My 2 favorite scriptures are Proverbs 3:5,6 and one in the Doctrine and Covenants section 123:15 " let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed." He lets me know He is there with a patch of "blue sky" or sunshine breaking through the gray. I feel my Saviors Love and His tenderness and mercy to me as I learn to simply "trust" and watch for the blessings to come both small and large. The Lord is my shepherd.
