Hi I'm Kylie

I'm studying to be a Chemist. I love books, singing, science, daydreaming, learning, and my family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Seattle, but I was raised in New Hampshire, and it's all I can really remember. I have a great family who I love so much. One older sister, a brother-in-law, and a cute new little nephew, an awesome younger brother, a younger sister, and an amazing mom and dad. I am going to college at Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah. I'm studying Chemistry. I love learning new things and understanding the world around me. I love books and will read almost anything I can get my hands on. I really enjoy singing. I'm not really athletic, but I do enjoy Ultimate Frisbee, and Gymnastics. I'm not great at spelling or learning languages, and I watch too much TV. I like to daydream and wonder.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this Church. I grew up going to church, and church activities. I have ancestors who were part of the church at it's founding. It's a heritage that I feel fortunate to have. I grew up in this church, but I have come to know that the church is true by myself. I have read the Book of Mormon, several times now, and have felt the witness from God that it is true. I have felt the conformation of the truth the Church from the Holy Ghost in powerful ways and subtle ways. This Church has brought me so much joy and peace during difficult times and in general because of the eternal perspective it has given me. I know that God loves me and wants me to become the best that I can. I know he loves all of his children, and I want to help let everyone know that.

How I live my faith

Living in NH I was only one of a handful of Mormons in my High School, so I had to try to live my standards while surrounded by a lot of people who had very different standards of behavior. I have served in my Church's Youth program, helping with some of the younger girls. I am currently preparing to serve a full time mission for the church. I will go to where ever they tell me in the world, serve the people, and teach them about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for eighteen months.
