Hi I'm Erik Roy Barfuss

I am an athlete and soon to be LDS missionary in Salvador Brazil. Most importantly, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a junior in high school. I compete in cross country, basketball, and track for my school. On the side, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, reading a good book, or watching sports on television. I have plans to attend Harvard, The University of Washington, or BYU after I serve a mission for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I always have been and always will be a Mormon. I love Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. They have provided me with SO many blessings in life and I could never turn away from that. The people in His church are so kind and willing to serve and I can be included in that number. My parents have dealt with trials and so have I but I know that the love and help of God is the best bandage for any trial. He gave us agency to make choices on this Earth for ourselves. There are consequences but because of the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ, if we can realize that we have made a mistake and repent, we can be forgiven. We must be honest with ourselves and our fellow men. And most of all, we must love one another.

How I live my faith

I enjoy spending my time participating in service projects and camp-outs with my youth group. We are constantly trying to find new friends from school and our sports teams to join us in many fun activities. I attend church every Sunday with my family.
