Hi I'm Teresa

I am a mother of 4 boys. We are a military family who has lived in many places an I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home, homeschooling, mother of 4 very busy boys. Our house is always bustling with energy, which I wish I had at least a 1/4 of. I am often both mother and father to my boys due to work obligations that take their dad away for periods of time. Despite his absence they adore him and he always finds away to be apart of our daily lives, even when he is so far away. This is my life and I wouldn't change any part of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes everything make sense. I love how with this knowledge of latter-day prophecy and the Book of Mormon you can see how all religions that appear to be so different from one another fit together but with missing pieces. With the restoration of the gospel, Christ's church is now whole. I also feel blessed that, in such a tumultuous time, through the restored gospel I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us to return to him. As his children we are precious to him, and knowing that replaces any fear that this world tries to instill in me with hope and peace. As a mother of 4 active boys it can be hard to not be discouraged by the world they have come into but the knowledge that life and family are eternal allows me to know that this world is not the end. The Savior has restored the gospel. So bring all that is good in your religion and let us add to it.

How I live my faith

Right now I am over the teaching of the women in our church. I help make sure their are teachers for the Sunday lessons. I am also in charge of helping with needs that arise with the women in the church. I help to find ways to make their burdens lighter and support them in knowing their spiritual worth as we all make our way home to our Heavenly Father.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are strong and often won't ask for help but will always be the first to roll up their sleeves and help out when needed. I find that in the Mormon religion men and women are equal partners. We need each other to help bring children back to their Heavenly Father. When you are all working for the same goal there is no person better than another, that is the world that tells you that some has to be better. And to make it more equal the Lord gave us each a job and only together can we bring to pass the salvation of his children. Kind of like the yen yang sign. Show more Show less
