Hi I'm Jeff Murdock

I grew up Heber City, Ut. I like to talk, play basketball, and make friends. I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I’m currently a senior, and the student body president at Wasatch High School. I’ve been lucky enough to play basketball all my life and all 4 years in high school and have had the privilege of playing with many friends and coaches. I’ve also been heavily involved with Student Government and competed in Public Forum debate for my high school. I’m the third of four boys in my family and I have been called to serve as a missionary for the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Oklahoma, Tulsa Mission and I report to the MTC on August 13. Upon my return, I plan to attend Utah State University.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I can remember, I have had a knowledge that our Heavenly Father is real, that he created us, and that he loves us. This knowledge has been reaffirmed a countless number of times as I have felt his comfort, peace, and love in my life. I know, through prayer and a spiritual witness that God has a plan for us. He sent us each into this world to live, to use our agency, and to experience the things of this life so that we could learn good from evil and become more like him. I know that as a result of our agency, we sin and make mistakes, but God sent his own son Jesus Christ to atone for those sins. Through Jesus Christ we can be cleansed from sin, healed from our deepest pains, and enabled to do more than we could ever do on our own. Jesus Christ has changed my life and continues to change it every day as I strive to become more like him. He has literally suffered for everyone and there is no limit to his atoning sacrifice. I have come to know of these truths through the Book of Mormon. As I have prayerfully read this book and humbly asked God if the words are true, I have felt in my heart that they are. I would invite anyone who is seeking the truth to do the same, and receive the same witness that I have.

How I live my faith

I love going to church each Sunday and attending seminary at my high school regularly. As I attend these things and prayerfully study on my own, I am able to learn of the gospel of Jesus Christ and live by it’s teachings. Each day, I constantly strive to be a kinder, more patient, Christ-like person that notices what is really important in life.
