Hi I'm Sanders Leon

I'm a Marshallese, I'm a Missionary, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born on a small Island called Majuro within the Marshall Islands. If you do not know what that is do not worry, most people don't. Anyways I lived on Majuro for about 9 years and love every single part of it. Nothing but island breeze and meals during those 9 years of my life. My family and I then moved to the Hawaiian Island. Due to price of travel me and my sibling flew one by one. Can you imagine how I felt when I got on an airplane by myself not knowing what is an "airplane". I used to be one of those people who hides in the corner of a room, trying to avoid eye contact. When my family had finally settled in, I soon joined the LDS church a few years after I landed in Maui. Now because of my constant exposer to the church. I started to participate in various activities. Most of the time it has to do with sports or the ocean. I love just about anything, even if I do not know how to do it. I have became who I am today because of the truth that was reveal to me. This truth, the Gospel made me and who I plan to become will be base on it's principle.

Why I am a Mormon

When I first was baptized a member of the Church, I was just doing it because I loved my parents and wanted to do what they ask me to do. I myself was not strong within the faith. My family later began to be in-active within the church. In a few years I was invited to a youth activity by a friend. I loved it and for some reason I wanted to continue to go. There was the activity given to us in the youth, to read the Book of Mormon within a year. I wanted to complete the challenge, so I set a goal of reading just a few pages a day. Later on that year I got to a part of the Book of Mormon called Moroni 10:3-5. I myself a LDS member not knowing weather or not the keystone of our religion is true, went for and did as Moroni invited. I prayed to my Father in Heaven and asked him "Is the Book of Mormon True?" It seems that I was to hard hearted at the time for I did not received or felt the answer. The following Sunday when I went to church and sat down in the Chapel I started to think about my prayer about the Book of Mormon. Then all of a sudden I felt an instant but long lasting Happiness within myself... "It is true". When I think about it know now I know that by the power of God, that the Book of Mormon is true. By the same power I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is truly Gods Kingdom on the Earth and that is why I, Sanders Aikman Leon a member of the LDS church. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving my mission. I was very blessed by the church and hope to be a blessing to others.
