Hi I'm Isaac

I'm a college student who loves baking apple pie and doing genealogy, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Portland, Oregon and am currently a student at Brigham Young University. I enjoy baking for myself or for others. My favorite recipe to make is dutch apple pie. Being fascinated by food, I hope to major in food science and pursue a career in food product development. I also enjoy reading classic novels by authors like Victor Hugo and Leo Tolstoy. I love their realistic and relate-able characters, as well as the vivid portrait they paint of real life. I also enjoy other popular books such as the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings series's.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and have grown to love and appreciate it more and more as I have grown up. I love how this gospel challenges us to become better each day in spite of our weaknesses and imperfections. Seeing how this gospel has enriched my family and brought happiness and peace into the lives of those around me has strengthened my conviction of its truth. I know that God knows what we need and will help us to succeed if we do our very best to become better people.

How I live my faith

I have served in various callings in the church. I served as a leader in my youth group and also helped organize family history related activities for my young-single-adult congregation while at school. I am currently preparing to serve as a missionary for the church in Bulgaria.
