Hi I'm April

Mother to four kids, my husband's cheerleader and health coach, and I am a Disneyland fanatic and a Mormon!

About Me

I want to teach my children to be kind to all. I am thankful for parents and grandparents that taught the golden rule," treat others the way you want to be treated" and "It is nice to be important but it is also important to be nice." I try to spread the Lord's love to all I come in contact with. I love to read when I have the time. My husband was diagnosed over 15 years with an incurable Kidney Disease, so I read up on new treatment options and try to keep him healthy. We love Disney vacations as a family. We feel that Disneyland in Anaheim is the best and try to get there as often as possible. We celebrate in the everyday because life is too short to be grumpy or sad. My favorite poem is "Good Timber" By Douglas Malloch.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from faithful ancestors that left material possesions and family behind to be part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know this church is true just like they knew it back then, that this is the true church. I have studied the scriptures and read the Book of Mormon, and prayed to know that these things are true. I have felt that they are true and have found to be happiest as I am living the teaching and principles of the gospel. I know the Plan of Salvation is true and that one day as we strive to live worthy and keep our covenants that we can live with our families forever. I am thankful for this knowledge for eternal families.

How I live my faith

I feel it is important to help in the community where we live. I try to give blood when I can. Help at the kid's school functions and donate food and help with fundraising. I love to work with all ages in the church and have been blessed to work in all areas. I have been a teacher in many different groups and really enjoyed teaching the teenage kids. I wanted them to know they are loved and where they came from and why we are here on earth. We all learned together and strengthened each others testimony as we discussed the lesson materials.
