Hi I'm Jon

I'm a chef. I love architecture. I'm a democrat. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Jon. I'm not your average teen. I have a serious love for food. I store plates under my bed, cookbooks litter my floors, and specialty ingredients surround me. I work in an industry full of immorality, but that doesn't stop me. It's a great place where I can lead by example. I also love architecture. I love Scandinavian culture. I wish I was bilingual, but, like a typical American, I'm not. I'm a true jokester. I love making people laugh. I love to laugh. I love to read. I love magazines. (See, told you I'm not your average teen.) I love people. I believe everyone is a child of God, and I strive to treat everyone as my brothers and sisters. I love life. There is so much beauty surrounding me every day, I mean, how could I not love it?

Why I am a Mormon

Ha, that's easy. BECAUSE IT'S TRUE. Yeah, you're probably thinking, "How could this crazy kid know?" Well, I know. It's not something I can explain. It's something I have found, and everyone must find for themselves. I think people wonder why I would want to be a Mormon with all of the negativity against it. Ralph Waldo Emerson sums up my purpose far better than I could, stating, "What I must do is all that concerns me, not what the people think." I must follow the truth. I hope you can find that truth and follow it too.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by regularly attending church and preparing to serve a full-time mission. I sacrifice some of my wants for the needs of God. I love to serve others, and live my faith by serving those and being an example to everyone.
