Hi I'm Travis Wheeler

Music is my life! I Love Hiking, and being active. I believe in second chances. and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I recently returned home from my mission in the Virginia, Richmond mission. I am the 3rd out of 6 kids from California. I am a wannabe musician and i love to sing! I love the out-doors, and being active. I can make a pretty mean sandwich! I will be a student at BYU-Idaho studying Biology. Jesus Christ is my rock. My relationship with my Heavenly Father is most important in my life. My greatest hope is to have an Eternal Family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have learned so much throughout my life, but one of the great truths that I learned on my mission is the love that our Father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ have for each of us. I feel closer to God each day as I use Christ's atonement. His grace is what sustains me and keeps pushing me through all the hard times. I owe him everything, and it's because of him that I can be with my family forever!

How I live my faith

I believe that we can truely show our faith through our actions and example. Jesus Christ set the perfect example for us and has shown us through his actions how to come closer to our Heavenly Father. I know that I can be an example even when nobody is around by living the Gospel and treating others how the Lord would treat them.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Travis Wheeler
yes! I personally didn't live in that time, and i couldn't come close to telling you how amazing of an experience that must have been. The reason i know this truly happened is because I have read the Book of Mormon for myself and the Spirit has witnessed to me that the book is true. You can find the same answer I did by reading it, and praying to ask if Christ really did appear in North America almost 2000 years ago! Show more Show less

What is faith?

Travis Wheeler
Faith is is a principal of action. As Elder Bednar puts it, when we have faith we "walk to the edge of the light and take a few steps into the darkness—expecting and trusting the light to move and illuminate the way." Sometimes we have to take a step into the unknown, but when we have faith and hope in Jesus Christ we expect and trust the light to follow! As we are obedient to God's commandments and see the light follow, it will increase our faith. Show more Show less
