Hi I'm Stephen

I am the father of four children, happily married and recently retired. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for my entire life. Being a member of the church has helped me understand that I am here on earth to learn and grow from life's challenges. I am not just here on earth to "have a good time", but to develop my character and become something. Life is full of challenges, I see these as opportunities to show my Heavenly Father that I love Him and trust Him to help me grown from each of these challenges.

Why I am a Mormon

I have faith in my Heavenly Father, that He is real, that He loves me and knows me personally and that He does answer my prayers. I have exercised that faith by studying the Holy Scriptures, which include the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Both of these sacred volumes of scripture teach the doctrine of Christ. God has answered my prayers of faith with regard to the truthfulness of what is contained in these books of scripture. This has come in the feelings of my heart time and time again as I have diligently studied, prayer about and reflected upon what is taught in these books of scripture. I am a Mormon because God has confirmed to me that The Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture, a powerful and beautiful witness of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Knowing this has led me to further know that the Book of Mormon could have only come to us through a prophet of the true and living God. The Book of Mormon serves as tangible evidence to support that Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet of God and was the instrument through whom the Lord restored authority and the fullness of His gospel to the earth.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve my family and my church throughout my life. Each has provided me the chance to experience personal growth, help others and allowed me to feel the love of God. My most important responsibility in life has been that of being a father to my four children. I have taken this responsibility seriously and have been grateful for the guidance of a loving Heavenly Father and the assistance of my wife and fellow church members in these efforts. The gospel of the Lord, Jesus Christ has been invaluable in helping provide a sure foundation for me and my family to build upon and a clear path to follow to obtain peace and lasting happiness in a world of ever shifting values and standards.
