Hi I'm Alex

I grew up in Utah. I have worked as a BIM Design Technician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever since I was young I have enjoyed drawing floor plans for boats, homes and other buildings. In junior high I was introduced to CAD software. I would spend most all of my free time making 3D models and plans for homes on the computer. In high school I was able to take multiple drafting classes that have helped teach me more about how buildings are actually built. My drafting teacher helped me obtain a job doing work as a design technician in which I learned much about how systems in buildings are built and how the construction process works. I enjoy spending time with my little brother flying my quadcopter outdoors and playing games with my family. My family is a very important part of my life and they have helped and strengthened me so very much. I was able to get many credit hours for college when attending high school and only needed one semester of college to finish up my associates. I like to work hard and also to have fun. Sometimes in my free time I enjoy watching old TV shows such as Hogan's Heroes, The Andy Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle USMC. I am an Eagle Scout and have participated in scouting activities since I was very young. I enjoy vacationing and traveling. Some of my favorite places to go are my grandparents' homes. I love visiting with them and hearing stories about how things were when they were growing up.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints means everything to me. It gives me direction and meaning to my life. Through the church I know that my life has a purpose and that my Heavenly Father cares about me and all of his children. I know that no matter what I am going through, I will never be alone. I find great comfort in the power of prayer and the ability to communicate with my Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ's atonement and the ability that I have to be forgiven of my mistakes and become continually better. My testimony and knowledge that the church is true has not come all at once. Through the many blessings and miracles that I have seen or been apart of, and the answers from my prayers that I have received, I know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I was able to teach the children in my area more about the gospel and how much it has blessed me and can bless them in their lives. I am able to visit families in my neighborhood and get to know them and how I can help them. I have served as a secretary for a young men's group as well as president working to help have good activities for the young men in my neighborhood to participate in. Mostly, I just try to be a good example to those around me and be cheerful to help uplift others.
