Hi I'm Christina

I grew up in the South. I'm an artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student studying humanities, learning Chinese, and embracing other cultures. I love all of the arts, and if I had it my way I would be cooking new things for people everyday. I love to write, paint, and decorate.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a place where I was surrounded by many different faiths, and different cultures. During my youth, I had many particular experiences that enhanced my faith and built my testimony. Then, I knew that God lives, and loves all of his children, and provided a plan for each and every one. Yet, when I got a little older I started wondering what His plan was for me? Maybe I was to take a different path. This thought, among many other influences and unexpected events led me to question my faith. I let myself become unbearably unhappy in my confusion. Yet even in these times, I had just enough faith to ask God where I should be in the following year. Even though I was very reluctant to pursue the answer that I received, I knew I had to. In this one choice, God directed me to a completely different understanding, and undeniable happiness. My faith has grown so strong from one little decision, and I would never change it;I am so blessed. I am so grateful for God's plan for me, and for all of the wonderful people that led me there. I am forever in debt to those that helped me attain a way to live with certainty, and never ending rewards. I am so happy to be a Latter Day Saint!

How I live my faith

In my community, I serve as a coordinator for visiting teaching. The women of the church are called to visit and teach one another monthly, so that they may build friendships and help each other during difficult times. I help to make sure that more people are taken care of, and ensure that uplifting messages are given.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is gives me an assuring, strengthening and progressive lifestyle. I know that God lives, and has a plan for everyone, including those around me. I am comforted that I will be with my family forever, and return to live with my Father in Heaven. In difficult times, I am strengthened by the uplifting words of the Gospel and the support group around me. In abiding by certain moral standards, I find peace and joy in the results.
