Hi I'm Emma

Business student. Hiker. Disney Enthusiast. Mormon.

About Me

I'm a sophomore business student at the University of Utah. I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio with my parents and my 3 younger sisters. My passions include music, hiking, travel, reading, and serving others. I have recently been called to serve in the Taiwan Taichung mission, reporting to the MTC in June 2017.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, as were both of my parents. For a long time, I came to church because it was what I was supposed to do. As a child, I attended church with my family and enjoyed the activities and lessons. As I grew older, I wanted to know for myself that it was the true church. I knew that my parents and church leaders had personal testimonies of the gospel and I wanted that too. I kept going to church and reading my scriptures. I kept the commandments and did everything I was supposed to do. I prayed and fasted for my own testimony. After a long conversion process, I finally knew that this was the true church. I love this gospel. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God. It is the one thing that makes me happiest in this life and I know it will continue making me happy in the next. I can't wait to be a missionary so I can share this happiness with others.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping my standards. I try to always be the best person I can be and strive to be an example for my friends. I attend institute classes twice a week and church meetings every Sunday. I read my scriptures daily and pray often. I am always trying to become more Christlike and grow closer to Him and my Heavenly Father.
