Hi I'm Valerie

I'm from Boise Idaho, I'm studying history and political science at Brigham University, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm studying at Brigham Young University, currently studying history but changing to political science. I hope to work with a nonprofit organization (like Made in a Free World) to promote change in public policy and anti-slavery laws. I love reading and being creative, especially embroidery and sewing. I love music, I play piano and cello as well as sing. I love to cook and bake, which my roommates and other friends always enjoy.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love the influence Christ has had on my life. Whenever I am struggling in life, with school or friends, I know that I can always turn to the Lord and He will help me and guide me through my trials. I love the security the gospel brings to my life. I especially love the promise of eternal families.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing my talents. I play the piano in my ward as well as participate in the church choir. I try to serve others everyday through little things, bringing them cookies, doing their dishes, or simply talking to them. I try to spread the light of Christ through all my actions.
