Hi I'm Peg

I live in rural Ohio . I'm a mother of 6 and grandmother of 26 and it's a good thing I like to cook! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family and faith are number one with me. I will be retiring this year and look forward to traveling and visiting grown children and the grandchildren. I've always enjoyed cooking and come from a line of good cooks- which reminds me how much I love genealogy!

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member when I was a young mother. What an anchor the church and the gospel of Jesus Christ has been in my life, as I raised children and have gone through trials that all parents experience as well as individual trials. The blessings that have come to me through the years are numerous and the greatest thing is having come closer to Christ and Heavenly Father and felt their presence and arms of comfort during difficult times. Putting the church and gospel at the center of our life is what has made our family of 6 children and 26 grandchildren remain close and loving.

How I live my faith

I have learned that serving others brings much joy and satisfaction to an individual. I have volunteered in the schools, in church, in an International Exchange student program and currently volunteer in our hospital. Several volunteering positions have offered or led to paid positions. I think my service in church has prepared me best by teaching me leadership and letting me lead over the auxiliaries for the children, teen age girls, and women 18 and over. I seem to have tried most all of the opportunities in our congregation. It's been rewarding to organize (with helpers) the past 2 church Christmas dinners /programs.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Peg
I learned by putting the above to the test. I had wonderful feelings that I had to learn came from the Holy Ghost. When I was a girl I wondered why only the people around Jerusalem and area got to hear and learn about Christ and His words that he wanted recorded. Then I learned they were NOT the only people on the earth to have seen and learned from Him and that there were prophets in other areas of the world too- and all that is found in the Book of Mormon as a second book of scripture. Isn't it wonderful to have more than one record of the Savior? It testifies of the Bible and also of Christ. Show more Show less
