Hi I'm Gentry

I grew up in Utah. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In my life the most important thing to me is my family. My family loves spending time together no matter what it is that we do. When the weather permits my family and I will go to a near by park and just mess around together for hours or when the weather is too bad to play in we stay inside and watch movies together or play card games. All that is important to us is that we are spending time together no matter what it is. I am a big Disney fan.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to know of a peace that exists only in this church and a hope that my family and I will be together forever. When I began my search for the truth only this church is where I could find it. I may have been raised in this church, but every member has to find the truth for themselves and so that is what I did. This peace that I have found has come to me from the power of the Holy Ghost as I have gained my personal testimony of the book of Mormon, Joseph being a true prophet called by our Heavenly Father, the power of prayer and how I can be with my Family for time and all eternity. I know that this Church is true and with all the confusing going on in the world right now, no one should just takes someone's word for what is true, but find out for themselves what is true. I know that as you read the book of Mormon and apply the principles it teaches to your own personal life, pray with a strong desire to receive an answer and having faith you will receive an answer, then be willing to act upon whatever answer you get that is when the Holy Ghost will manifest the truth of all things unto you. Now receiving an answer is not easy and being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not easy, but our loving Heavenly Father has promised that it will be worth it and we will receive blessings to great that we cannot receive them all. Nothing in worthwhile in life was gained easily and the Truth of Jesus Christ's gospel is no different.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in Kentucky. I share the gospel threw word and my example. I believe that you don't know the truth and joy of the gospel unless you are living it.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

Its is not a secret its sacred. The easiest way to put it is that would you be ready to make special covenants (or promises) with our Heavenly Father if you were to go to the temple today? A way to describe this is with a saying "Milk before Meat" which is saying just like you wouldn't give a 6 month old a steak for dinner you wouldn't be ready to understand or make those covenants with our Heavenly Father. Now you may not be ready now, but you could become ready by first gaining a testimony of your own of the book of Mormon and then taking part in our very first covenant with our Heavenly Father which is baptism by someone holding the priesthood or proper authority of our Heavenly Father.
