Hi I'm Laura

I like dancing, I love green and I am currently serving my Mission at Salt Lake City Temple Square

About Me

I'm from Nürnberg, Germany and moved with my Family to Frankfurt, Germany when I was 13. I have 3 sisters, 1 brother and I'm the third one. Our family is really big what is just so great! It can't be boring with many people and I love spending time with them! Maybe sometimes you have some "little disagreements" but I feel so blessed to have such a great family! And the best part: We will always stay a family, for all eternity even after this life!! Music, sports, walks in the nature, laughing and having a good time are very important to me especially by doing it myself and/or with my family or friends. In summer 2014 I graduated school, my brother returned from his mission in England London-South and I started my own mission at Temple Square.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church in a really great family! My grandmother met missionaries when she was young married and we're still in touch with them. They are like family! We have kind of a little family tradition that we want to finish the Book of Mormon before we get baptized. And that was my personal goal as well. I was really bad at reading in the beginning so it took forever and especially it was hard because it's written in older language, meaning with words we just don't really use in our daily life. But it felt great to be able to say "I finished reading the Book of Mormon before I turned 8". I didn't really understand a lot of it but reading it made me feel good - and it still does everyday! I was baptized because I chose for myself. When my father baptized me I just had a warm feeling in my heart and I was just happy. Now, 11 years later I still remember that day and feeling. As I got older I wanted to know for myself if the Gospel is true, if this is the right church and if God really lives. So I knelt down on my knees in my room and prayed to God and asked Him all that. It was just the same like when I was baptized: I felt peace and love and warmth in my heart. I know for myself that God really lives! Jesus Christ IS His son and our Redeemer. You can find out for yourself if God is really there. Ask Him - He is just a prayer away

How I live my faith

How can't I live it? It's part of who I am I try to live the principles that are taught in the gospel and try to help others to do the same to experience the same joy in their lives.
