Hi I'm Alora

I was baptized into the church when I was 11. I am a foreign language major. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love all things creative from drawing wildlife to baking something that sounded good in my head. I have always liked to make everyday an adventure even if to some it may seem like just an ordinary day. I strive to make others around me laugh and have an enjoyable time as well, especially if I know they aren't having a good day. I am currently going to college and I am majoring in Foreign Language, specifically Spanish, but I would love to study abroad and learn to speak French, Italian, and German fluently as well. I am a huge nerd and a lover of Batman, Star Wars, Star Trek, Sherlock, Lord of the Rings and lots of others. I am fluent in movie quotes!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that I am a Mormon for a reason and I know that this gospel is true. I can recall many times in my life it seems that if I were not to follow down the road I have, I would not be the person I am today. I love this church because it allows me to know of my infinite worth as a tool in the Lord's hand and also what he has planned for me. I was baptized at a later age because my father fell away from the church and did not allow me to choose for myself. This actually gave me greater faith and knowledge that the church is true because I knew that my Heavenly Father would always support me even if my earthly father did not. Heavenly Father and the Savior loved me when I felt that I didn't deserve it and have helped me through the many trials of my life and will continue to do so, and I know that I know this thanks to the church.

How I live my faith

Through the course of my life I have participated in many things involving the church and have had callings ranging from a secretary to positions in different presidencies. I also have spoken in the Spanish Branch where I live many times and do my best to serve others as Christ would. I love all the people in my community and as we all learn together and grow in faith I know that we can accomplish Christ-like attributes.

Are Mormons Christians?

Alora
Yes we absolutely are, Jesus is truly the cornerstone of our religion. Everything in the church points to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That is why the name of our church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We rejoice in Christ! We believe in Christ, and we know that after all that we can do Christ lifts us up the rest of the way. He is our brother that has payed for our sins with the everlasting atonement. He has done everything that we could not do ourselves and he knows all of our sorrows and joys. Show more Show less
