Hi I'm Ashley

I'm an interior designer, historic preservationist, wife, and mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My family and I recently moved to Washington. We love it here and plan to stay for a long time. I studied interior design and served in my community as a Historic Landmarks Commissioner. I am passionate about preserving historic buildings and appreciate fine craftsmanship. I love spending time with my family exploring the beautiful area that surrounds us!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of this church, but I choose to continue to live the gospel because I have come to know the great blessings that come from it through my own experiences. I see the commandments as freeing rather than restricting, and they help me to receive the joy Heavenly Father wants us to have. I have experienced the tangible healing power of Jesus Christ's atonement in my life and would love for everyone to become acquainted with it, it can be life changing. The gospel brings me peace, comfort, and joy. It is the reason behind everything I do!

How I live my faith

I serve as secretary in my ward Relief Society, which is the oldest and largest women's organization in the world. As a presidency we discuss the needs of those in our ward and watch over one another. I take advantage of opportunities to serve others, and try to be a good neighbor and friend to those around me. Prayer and scripture study, including the Book of Mormon and Bible, are part of my daily routine individually, as a couple, and family. On Monday nights we gather as a family for Family Home Evening. This is a special time for us to teach our three young girls about gospel principles in a casual setting. I also attend the LDS temple and love the peace it brings to my life.

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that the family is central to God's plan of happiness. Traditional families with a loving mother and father is the ideal setting for children to be raised in. Family relationships can continue after death. Show more Show less
