Hi I'm Raquel

I am a member of the Church of Jesus of Latter-day Saints. I love the gospel and the scriptures.

About Me

I was born, raised, and live in Utah. I love Utah and the small city I live in. I have two wonderful children. My daughter is 22 and lives in Logan, going to USU. My son will graduate in May and leave on his mission to Chile, Concepcion South. I also have an awesome Shih Tzu, Fillmore. I am on disability and don't work but I have many hobbies. I cross-stitch, crochet, scrapbook, sew, read, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church though most of those years I was inactive. I have been inactive for many years but this past year I have become active. The gospel means so much to me as does the scriptures. I love to continually learn its teachings and to do my best to apply them to my life. I am always so much happier when I am committed to the gospel. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was the chosen prophet of the restoration. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ. I love the scriptures. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ truly love and help all of us, members and nonmembers alike.

How I live my faith

I am very active in the LDS church. I love the gospel so much. It's teachings and the knowledge I gain give me peace and happiness. I love doing temple work for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Are Mormons Christians?

Raquel
We are Christians. We focus our studies on the Savior. We study the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I know that many people believe that we focus on the Prophet Joseph Smith. We do believe Joseph Smith was chosen to restore Jesus' church in our day and he was also chosen to translate the Book of Mormon, an ancient record of the people who live in the Americas many years ago and as a further testament of Jesus Christ. The Savior is the head of the LDS church and all our studies turn to Him. All things remind us of Him. Show more Show less
