Hi I'm Parker

I've grown up in Utah my whole life, I love playing music, being a CNA and serving the elderly. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love playing music, drawing, skateboarding, being a CNA and serving the elderly. I worked in a retirement home for a year and miss it every day. I loved building close relationships with those I took care of. We became a close knit family and its hard to let them go, but I know that they move on to a better place. I love when someone has been alone without their spouse for years and they are finally able to be reunited with them. I love composing/arranging/playing music for them whether on the piano or accordion. They truly enjoy it and are so kind and loving. Service brings happiness and creates trusting and long lasting friendships.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. I am a Christian. I believe in Christ and I know that he lives and loves me. I am a Mormon not because I was born into the Church but because I chose to be baptized. We have the agency to choose, so I chose to be baptized because I have seen the blessings of being a part of this Church. Keeping the commandments and "strict" guidelines does not hold us back, but keeps us free from the bondage of addiction and sin. I know that through Jesus Christ we can be forgiven of our sins if we repent and do our best to become better. I am a Mormon because I know this is the true Church. I have had miracles happen in my life, time and time again. I cannot deny it. I love having the gift of the Holy Ghost. He is a Comfort, guide, support, and a testifier of truth. I have read the Book of Mormon and I know of its truthfulness through the testifying power of the Holy Ghost. If you have not read the Book of Mormon, I would invite you to do so and pray about it sincerely. I testify you will receive an answer in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Moroni 10:4

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to fill several leadership positions in the community as well as in church. I was able to serve on our City's youth council and court. It was a fantastic opportunity to provide service to the community through organized party events for children to Senior citizens and service to maintain and upkeep our public lands. I have also been blessed to have the opportunity to serve as quorum president and in the presidencies throughout my time as a youth in the LDS church. These positions allow us to put our quorum and group of friends first and find out what we can do to serve them and the ward. I am grateful for all of the leadership opportunities I have been given!

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Parker
We have been taught as in Matthew 25:40, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. As we serve others we are serving Christ. It never says to serve one group specifically, but all, even the least. Service is one of the great pillars of our Church. We have over 53,000 missionaries throughout the world paying their own way to serve others. Show more Show less
