Hi I'm Sione Piutau(Jay Piutau)

I grew up in Tonga. Started school striving to fulfill my goal as a Pilot and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a person with the interest of Rugby and Dancing but mainly street dancing. I did participate within some dance competition and won most of them with honor and pride. Most spent my time with playing musical instruments especially piano and just trying to enjoy the sound of music within my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Within my lifetime, I have studied and prayed about the scriptures to find out answers to the questions of my soul. I have been raised as a member but I really just hang on to my parents belief. As in my youth, I have finally realized that I need to stand for my own self and my own belief for my parents can't take me with their testimony. I read the Book of Mormon and also prayed about it. Went to church and also read talks by leaders of the church such as Prophets and Apostles. Within my research process, I felt a really warmth feeling within my heart as a read the Book of Mormon one day with my family. It is a feeling that I can't really explain. I know that it is the Word of God and that it stands side by side with the Bible to testify of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that this is true and that I will not deny what I have experienced.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and always strive everyday to fulfill and to represent my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through my everyday actions. I was once called to serve within a youth group with the desire of saving the rising generations. Helping young ones has just been my favorite service to do to help them become our leaders within our futures.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Sione Piutau(Jay Piutau)
As part of our service and help for those that has moved on from this life, we perform the ordinance(sacred performance) of Baptism for the Dead as Proxy in their behalf with the proper priesthood authority to open the door for them to receive greater joy within the gospel. Show more Show less
