Hi I'm Michaela

I'm a tall girl. I love to smile and learn. I'm a young Historian and hopeful future educator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Utah State University. I'm studying History Education and LOVE it. I especially love United States history and the help from the Divine Hand that enabled us to become a free country. I also love Western history and am a little bit of an anglophile (that means obsessed with England, its culture, traditions, ect). If I could just learn about the history of the world for the rest of my life I would be happy. I love music and love singing, even though I'm not very good at it. I play the violin and piano as well. My favorite artist is One Direction :) I participated in a few musicals in high school (Crazy for You, Beauty and the Beast, Singin' in the Rain, and Oklahoma!). One of my favorite musicals would have to be Les Miserable. Musicals touch my heart and sometimes wish my life was in a musical. I love school and love to learn. Like I said before, if I could learn for the rest of my life, I'd be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Some might argue that I'm only a member because I have been my whole life. I was raised in the church and have actively been participating since my youth. I keep going to church because of the feeling that it gives me. I love feeling the spirit and love feeling like I'm a part of something bigger. I am a member because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has the WHOLE truth. I haven't felt anything like it, having traveled a little and seen the state of the world today. I KNOW that my Savior loves me. I have felt His love for me and the love that He has for us. I KNOW that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. I know that it is a true book. How could Joseph make it up? It fits so well with the Bible that I know that the Book of Mormon is a second testament of Christ. I KNOW that Thomas S. Monson is the true and living prophet on this earth. I know that he receives revelation and that Christ is the head of this church. I am one of those people that is a stickler for the rules and a "goody goody," but I KNOW that this is true. I cannot ignore something I know to be true and go against it. I don't have a perfect knowledge and I'm not perfect. However, I know through Christ I can be perfect and return to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making little decisions every day. I read my scriptures and say my prayers. I ask for help and guidance. I spend time with members in my area and do my best to invite others to come and be our friends. I help organize fun activities for young single adults to spend time with each other, building them up, and having good clean fun. I'm slowly getting better at visiting less active members or non members and feeling just Christ-like love for them.
