Hi I'm Hunter

I live in Santaquin, Utah, USA. I have 10 siblings. I raise pigeons. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from Payson High School in Payson, Utah. I was highly involved in the FFA (Future Farmers of America) Organization during high school and served as the chapter president and then went on to serve as the State Treasurer for the Utah FFA Association. I played soccer for two of my high school years and love being active. My family is very musical and I play the piano and trombone. As far as my interests in life... I love animals and agriculture. I have a passion for both. My favorite thing to do is to fly and raise pigeons. I flying competition roller pigeons as well has racing homers. I also enjoy training horses, hunting, and anything outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

Why not? All of us want to have purpose and happiness in life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides all of that and more. Being raised in the church I haven't known much else however I have seen friends and acquaintances who have struggled in life because they seem lost. The blessings that come from living the Lords commandments and following his gospel are endless and I am amazed each day at the tender mercies that the Lord provides to each of his children. Some may think that the commandments of the Lord are hard and restrict our agency and happiness. However, they are just the opposite. As we strive to love God and our fellow men we find ourselves happier and more ready for lives challenges. As we keep the our bodies clean by living the Word of Wisdom we find ourselves healthier and more prepared to accomplish everyday tasks that we find before us. As we follow the law of tithing we are blessed with humility and a deeper desire to serve others. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is wonderful and I am thankful each day for the opportunity I have had to be raised in the church during this wonderful time with the restoration of the gospel. :)

How I live my faith

Our religion is an active religion... faith itself is an action word. I try to be as involved as I can in my local ward and stake by fulfilling callings I have been assigned. I served as the deacon and teachers quorum president and first assistant to the bishop in the priests quorum. Now older I have been called as a supervisor over home teaching and strive to visit those in the ward to whom I am assigned. I try to be available when new members move into the area so that I can help them move in and help them to get to know those who live near them. One of my favorite responsibilities growing up was visiting the home bound and giving them the opportunity to partake in the sacred ordinance of taking the sacrament each week. I hope that I can be an instrument in the Lords hands in whatever he may ask me to do.
