Hi I'm Kyle Timmons

I'm from California. I'm currently serving as a missionary in the Alaska Anchorage Mission.

About Me

My name is Kyle Timmons. I was born and raised in Lompoc, California by two very loving parents. A happy family of my mom, dad, four older sisters, and then me. I love history, music, movies, sports, exercise, and making friends. I have since been on a full-time mission for two years serving the Lord in the Alaska Anchorage Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have learned so very much from my mission. Words cannot describe the joy that I have felt and do feel for sharing the wonderful message of the restored gospel with others who are in need of hearing the good word. Members and non-members alike, we all need to hear of this message and treasure up the words of life in our hearts and minds. We are promised peace in this life and eternal life in the world to come if we harken unto the precepts of God and follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost. This is all possible because of Jesus Christ and what he did for us. So that is the message I am sharing with the people of Alaska! And when I am finished, I wish to provide for and raise a family with a faithful wife, who loves the Savior with all her heart, who cares and looks after her children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but I continue to follow the restored gospel because I feel the strong guidance of the Holy Spirit urging me to press forward in it. I have a strong testimony that Jesus is our Savior and Redeemer. I also have a testimony that Joseph Smith was truly a prophet of God, and the same goes for all of the prophets, of this church, that have succeeded him in these latter days. Just as well, I have a firm testimony of the hereafter and eternal families. Nothing will ever take this testimony away from me. I have been baptized in the name of Christ by someone holding God's authority. I understand baptism, and the covenant that defines it. I have promised to follow the Savior to the end, and I am keeping that promise.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being charitable and kind unto those around me. It is expected of me to do what the Savior would do and act on the promptings of the Spirit. I follow Christ and try my very best to be like Him. Sometimes I fall short, but then I repent of my faults and strive never to do it again. No matter how many times you fall, you are never short of God's grace. We must repent and be baptized, renewing our covenants weekly or as often as possible, in order to truly apply Christ's atonement into our lives. It's one thing to believe in Christ and that the church is true, it's another thing to follow Christ and be true to the church.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Kyle Timmons
We don't worship Joseph Smith, we only praise and thank him for helping the Lord in restoring the gospel to the earth. We worship and pray to God, the Eternal Father. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Kyle Timmons
After the death of the Apostles, the truth of the gospel was lost, as well as true priesthood authority. Yes, we always had the Bible, but it doesn't have the fullness of the gospel. With the Book of Mormon and the Bible together, you have the fullness of Christ's gospel. The restoration of the gospel has brought the true nature of Christ's church back to the earth in this our dispensation. Show more Show less
