Hi I'm Beth

I'm a missionary. I'm a singer. I live to love. I love to serve and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I absolutely LOVE music! It not only has been a major anchor in my life, it also acts as a way for me to feel the spirit, and to share that spirit with others. I love to play piano, guitar, a little bit of trumpet, penny whistle and nose-flute. I was a college student at Brigham Young University, and I am now serving a full-time mission in the best mission in the world, the California Los Angeles Mission :) I look to serve those around me, and I love to help anyone who needs a hand! I love anything to do with the outdoors, especially hiking, biking, shooting guns and horseback riding. I love this gospel!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not because I was forced, brainwashed, or tricked into being one, but because I indeed chose to be. I grew up in a family that was very active in the church. My parents diligently taught me the gospel principles, and made sure that I learned and understood everything that I learned. I went through a period of time when I did feel my own personal doubt, but through the magnificent influence of family, friends, scripture study and prayer, I was able to remember the truths which I indeed knew to be correct. I'm not perfect, and I still struggle sometimes with frustration and doubt, but I only need read the words of the scriptures and pray to my loving Heavenly Father and I immediately feel his love and compassion towards me. I love this gospel. I don't know where I would be without it!

How I live my faith

Before a mission, I served in several positions in my ward, a couple of the most recent being the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, and teaching classes for some of the youth in the ward. I help to teach our ward the specific needs that you may need for things such as 72-hour kits, what to do in natural disasters, and other things like that! My roommates and I loved to participate our congregations sports nights, and we help to bring the members together through activities that get everyone up and moving! You don't have to be a missionary to live your faith. Through everyday actions I try to keep the light of the gospel in my life! Daily prayer, scripture study, and regular church attendance all help with that!
