Hi I'm Tirzah Earl

I'm from Cache Valley, UT. I love to sing and I work at a bakery. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have a mother, father, and one younger brother that is eight years younger than me. My family is very embedded in musical background and much of my initial motivation to take on developing my talents came from my mother and father who both have tremendous singing voices. My mother has taught piano for many years, and I began with her when I was seven. I participated in several minor competitions and enjoyed the reward that comes from long preparation! I continued to take lessons from her and one of her teachers until just recently. Even though I'm no longer officially anyone's student, I still enjoy learning new pieces and still love the piano. I also took voice lessons for several years and love singing around my house as well as for a variety of groups whenever I'm asked. I love morning walks, reading a good book from the library, and spending time with friends and family. My family also loves animals, and since I was 2 years old we've had 20+ chickens, three cats, and several bunnies. Winter is my favorite season (good thing, or I'd hate living in Utah!). My dad taught me how to ski when I was about 10-11, and I've loved powder, sparkling snow, and the thrill of gliding down the mountain ever since, even if it's very cold sometimes! I am currently working at a bakery and preparing to go on an LDS mission to Phomn Phen Cambodia. While I'll have the culture shock of a lifetime, I know it will be a wonderful experience!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have faith in my Savior Jesus Christ and His Atonement for me and every single individual that ever has and ever will visit this earth. Every time I open my scriptures or attend church, or walk outside into the beautiful world that God has created for us, I am reminded of His infinite love for me and that, even though some days will be extremely hard, He is there for me and my Savior knows exactly what I'm going through, because He has felt all those feelings Himself! While I did grow up in the LDS faith and my family has always been active, faithful attending members, I have come to know for myself that this is the true church of God upon the earth, and I love it.

How I live my faith

My most recent calling in the church was as the organist for the young singles adult ward in Smithfield. It was hard at first, having never played anything like the organ except for piano, but I got the hang of it and learned to enjoy playing for everyone as they sang in our Sunday meetings. Currently I am in my own home ward that I grew up in and haven't received a calling, but I still strive to help others in their's, and regularly attend weekly Sunday meetings. My dream is to someday be able to teach the youth wherever I live.

What is faith?

Tirzah Earl
Faith in God is being willing to do whatever He asks. It is upmost trust. Faith is stronger than hope, but without hope it is weak. It's like having faith that the sun will rise in the morning, and set at night. Faith is believing that even though today may be extremely hard, tomorrow is going to be an amazing!! It's trusting that each day we can awake with a fresh start. Show more Show less
