Hi I'm Katherine Dixon

I'm a 15 year old sophomore. I love to talk, and i don't stop smiling. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I absolutely love running, sprinting, anything like that. If I had to choose I would prefer a long 5-10 mile run when compared to a shorter but much faster sprint. I enjoy clogging (it's a type of dance, it's kind of like tap dancing, but harder, and there are no wooden shoes). Also, I adore creative writing and drawing but I'm not the best and either of those two things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so i don't have a cool and exciting conversion story, but because i have been raised in the church i was always told that this church was true. When i was younger i just kind of agreed with my parents because i did not know any better. Yet as time went on i was able to have my own, personal testimony grow through my friends, through study in The Book of Mormon, through prayers and through my own personal experiences that i have had, which have had the spirit confirm to me that this is the true church, and that because the gospel has been restored it's possible to find happiness in the little things.

How I live my faith

I do service activities with my stake and ward. In my young women's class the 15-16 year old girls I am the 2nd counselor. Which mean I am one of the girls that helps plan activities, I visit girls in my ward and I am there for the girls in my class. During the school year I also attend early morning seminary, which is basically one hour of studying some form of scriptural doctrine with other that are the same age as me and are in the same school.

What is faith?

Katherine Dixon
Faith is trusting and having a hope for things which are true, but which are not seen. Faith can be power and a principle of action by having more than a theoretical belief in God. Faith means trusting in the lord, having confidence and believing in Christ, because he knows all things. Your faith will grow when you are keeping the commandments, when you are trying to learn for yourself and understand the gospel, when you share you thoughts and feelings of the gospel, and your faith will continue to grow as the spirit manifests the truth of the gospel unto you.
