Hi I'm Ari Powell

I love music, dance, and theater, and hope to influence the performing arts realm with light and truth. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing, dance, and act! I'm serving my mission! I love watching 'Doctor Who,' I enjoy playing racquetball, and I love people!!

Why I am a Mormon

There's a difference in doing things, and becoming those things. The Atonement of Jesus Christ gives us the power and opportunity for growth, change, and ultimately becoming. We can become the person we want to be, and even greater than that I know that my Father in Heaven has a perfect plan for me specifically. He is a personal God, and he loves us individually beyond what we can even comprehend! I know the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon to be the sure word of God. And by reading, studying, pondering, and praying, we can come as close to our Eternal Father as we desire. This matters because the closer we are to our Savior and Eternal Father, the greater increase in Happiness, Peace, Joy, and Love, we will have. I have learned that we can ALWAYS turn to Him when we are weak and seeking help. There is a certain emptiness that creeps into all of our lives. Often this is a troubling thing for us to feel and we don't always know what to do about it. It has personally caused me to feel much anxiety and heartache. I have finally found the cure to this emptiness, this hollowness within me, and it is to come unto Christ. It is to pray to the Father. I've found that in our prayers we can speak with our Father in Heaven about any and all of the things that are troubling us in our lives, including this emptiness. We can ask to be filled, and he will fill us. He will fill us with true Joy, Peace, and Love. Every crack will be made whole, every wound in the soul bound up. He is the great and Eternal Healer. This is my Testimony and why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm living my faith by preparing to serve a full-time mission in Korea, Busan. Every time I create a character for a performance, every time I'm choreographing a dance, and every time I'm rehearsing a song, I do so with the intent to serve those who come to see and hear, and to bear my testimony of the truth, peace, and happiness I've come to know by living the gospel the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has to offer.
