Hi I'm Joanne Morgan

I'm from Southern California, I raised 7 well adjusted, responsible children with the help of my wonderful husband.

About Me

I love being a stay at home mother and now a grandmother. My husband received his 4 year degree just before we had our fourth child. When they were all in school, I went back to school for my Real Estate Salemanship Certificate, my Business Certificate and Tax Preparer License. I never needed to work, my husband always provided for us. I enjoyed learning and using my knowledge to help our family and friends and others with taxes, property managment, real estate and church leadeership callings. I couldn't plan a happier more fulfilling life.

Why I am a Mormon

Not all of my family consider themselves Mormons. Some need to find the truth in their own way. Just being raised in a Mormon family doesn't guarantee they will all gain a testimony and feel the Holy Ghost testify the truth to them. Testimony comes from obedience and studying the scriptures and praying for answers. I feel a strong feeling of love from my Heavenly Father deep in my heart when I do these things. Songs like "I feel my Saviors Love in all the world around me", touch my heart. Testimonies from others bring tears to my eyes because thee Holy Ghost testifies to me that what they are sayin g are truths that I also know. I feel Gods' spirit when I read the Bible and the Book off Mormon. I love these prophets who love people they didn't even know, so much that they took the time & effort to write Gods words and the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the scriptures, to help us today. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know Jesus lives and guides his living prophets today. I know Joseph Smith was commanded to dig up the Golden Plates and through the power of God, translated these ancient scriptures written by prophets in the Americas, into English. I know that the Book of Mormon contains the fullness of Christ's Gospel. Jesus appeared to the people in the America's shortly after he was resurrected and left Jerusalem. He appeared at their temple on the steps and established his church there also and called and gave his authority to12 disciples to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus then left and descented up to be with Heavenly Father. The records of these people in the America's and their testimonies of Jesus visiting them are recorded in the Book of Mormon. If you read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is Gods' words, the Holy Ghost will testify to you that it is from God and you will have no doubts, you will feel peaceful and warm inside, just like I did.

How I live my faith

I didn't have a one time great experience that converted me to Christianity. I just always felt love and guidance from my parents and from my Heavenly Father. I always prayed with gratitute for my blessings and for guidance and protection for our children. I regularly went to church and read scriptures. We had a family time with our children most monday evenings. I didn't know how many children I wanted, but I knew that we would have a loving Christian home and I wanted to give as many children as possible the opportunity to be raised in that environment. There are so many innocent babies born to single mothers and in starving countries. I kind of looked at it as my missionary work. We have raised our children with prayers, church attendance and scripture study. Now our children are grown, my husband and I arre on a full time 2 year mission with a desire to help others understand the great love Heavenly Father had for us when he sent his own son Jesus Christ to teach us his Gospel and to be our Savior and Redeemer. I know that my Savior lives.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Joanne Morgan
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is growing very fast. All ages, young and old, have a great desire to give of their money, time and talents, to go all over the world to bare their testimonies and teach those who have not had the opportunity to know about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They want others to have the joy and happiness that comes from living the commandments of God. The peace that comes from knowing they are loved by a wonderful Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. They want everyone to have help and guidance with raising their children in this world filled with temptation everywhere they turn. Over 80,000 18-21 year olds put off their education and dating for years because they love their fellowmen and know Christs' Church has been restored to the earth in it's fullness and want everyone on the earth to have the opportunity to hear about Christs' message and his love. Why did the 12 Aposles give up all to follow Jesus and spread his gosple? They loved their brothers and sisters on the earth and knew that Jesus was perfect and suffered and died for all men. The Mormon Missionaries feel the same way. Show more Show less
