Hi I'm Helena Luthy

I love General Conference, jello salad, and I have a big family! So I am pretty much your typical Mormon girl.

About Me

I am the oldest of 8 kids. I enjoy scrapbooking, crafting, reading romance novels, watching movies, and being with friends and family. I am a student at Weber State University. I am 19 years old, and am preparing to serve a mission in Tempe Arizona. Spanish Speaking!! When I return home, I plan on continuing my education and getting my M.R.S. degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this gospel. My multi-generations of grandparents lived it, my parents lived it, so I started out by believing what my parents did. As I went through life and started high school, worldly traditions were tempting, and I started heading in a different direction than what I was taught. My parents did their best to keep my focus on the gospel. I lost many privileges and trust. Life was pretty frustrating. As things started getting worse, I realized that I hadn't been living right. I was unhappy and tired of the way things weren't working out. I wanted to be happy, and to live guilt free of what things I had done. I repented. I asked Heavenly Father to help me be clean, and to forgive me for what I had done. My prayer was answered immediately, as I felt the loving reassurance of our Father in Heaven in my heart. It is the most wonderful feeling in the world. :) Since then, my testimony has grown. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are real. I know they love us. The Atonement is for us, and it works. I love this gospel because it brings me peace. I know that I am loved, and never alone. Heavenly Father is always watching over me. And I can't wait to share this message with the people of Arizona!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith through my actions. There are always people watching, and observing ESPECIALLY members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is my responsibility as a member, to make sure I am living all the commandments, so that I can be an example and a light to those searching in darkness. Not only are people watching, but our Heavenly Father is constantly watching. My ultimate desire is to please my Father.
