Hi I'm Colton

I grew up in Northern Utah. I am an outdoorsman, an athlete, a student, and a soon to be missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be in and take pictures of the outdoors; whether I am fishing, hiking, or hunting. I also love being an athlete. I have played football since I was 8 years old. I played all through high school and served as a captain of the team. I intend to play when I attend college as well. I also played baseball, track, and rugby in high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a powerful and sincere testimony of this church, it is Christ's Church and Kingdom upon the Earth. I was not raised a "Mormon," I came from an inactive family. As I approached the age of baptism, however, I was taught by the missionaries. From that point onward I focused inwardly to find the truth for myself. I acted upon what I had been taught. I read the Book of Mormon and the Bible, I tried to follow the commandments, I repented, I pondered upon it all, and I prayed. Through my sincere desire to know, and a soft heart, I was given a testimony of this Gospel. I can now say that I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that Joseph Smith was indeed a Prophet who translated it by the power of God. I know that Christ lives, and that because He lives we can live our lives with hope of eternal life. When we find ourselves off of His path, He is eager to lead us back to Him through the atonement and through His leaders upon the earth. I know that Our Heavenly Father has a specific and divine plan for us all, and He will give us the strength to accomplish it. I know that He has restored His church and His Priesthood upon the earth, along with a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson. He is a true servant of the Lord, and His mouthpiece to us. I know this to be true, and testify of it in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live and to share my faith with the world. I do this by doing my best to consistently live as a disciple of Christ. Each choice matters to us, to others, and to our Father in Heaven. I cling to my moral standards, and take opportunities to serve others. I have had many opportunities to serve in the church and in the community, and I find great joy from it. I attend church every Sunday morning, and Young Men's each Wednesday. I also try to attend the temple as often as possible. I study the scriptures each morning for personal sustainment and to prepare to serve a mission.
