Hi I'm Chelsie

I'm a skier, an outdoor lover, a book reader, a traveler, a student, a Surgical Technologist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

If I could live outside forever I would definitely do so. I love being outdoors and enjoying Gods gift of beauty. I love to fish, hike and camp. Skiing is one of my passions in life. I've been blessed to be able to do this for several years and do so in different parts of the country. Its a hobby that has blessed my life with many friends around the world. I love cooking and baking. I love taking something raw and creating something fun with my family and friends. Im currently a Surgical Technologist but continuing my education at Utah State University seeking a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. I love the science of our bodies and how following the word of wisdom makes them stronger and healthier. My goal is to take what I've learned to help others live a healthy and happy life.

Why I am a Mormon

I came from a loving family who taught me the ways of the Gospel since I was a little girl. However, that simply wasn't enough. As I grew older I had to learn for myself and have a desire to gain my own testimony. At times I made wrong choices and allowed myself to have doubts. It was during these times in my life that I felt empty, that my life had no real purpose. When I softened my heart and allowed my life to be filled with the knowledge of the Gospel, I learned of my purpose. I took the time to read my scriptures and ask my Father in Heaven through prayer if this was his church. The answer I received through experiences I've had are unmistakable. He knows us, He loves us, and He wants us to live in a way that we may return back to Him. He has provided that way. Our brother and Savior, Jesus Christ, made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can repent and return to our Heavenly Father. The Atonement is real. I have felt the power of it in my own life. I know that I am a Daughter Of God with a loving family that I can be with for eternity. Through the studies of the Gospel I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet called to restore this church and that we have a living prophet today. I know the Book of Mormon is the true word of God and through it we can learn how to return to our Heavenly Father. I'm a Mormon because this is God's true Church. With His word I have found true joy.

How I live my faith

The best way for me to live my faith is to first start by studying it. The more I read and learn of my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, the more I learn and understand their love for me. As I learn this it becomes easier for me to love others that way. With this love I do my best to serve others. I love going to work in the temples, or help my neighbors and friends who are in need. Through my actions and behavior, I strive to show the Light of Christ and the blessings it has given me in my life, that others may see how truly happy this gospel has made me.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Chelsie
One reason we are here on this earth is to gain a mortal body so that we can become more like our Heavenly Father. Our bodies are a gift. Not everyone in the pre-mortal world was given a body. We know that Satan does not have a body and becomes very jealous of ours. He will try to tempt us to defile this beautiful gift. Our body is needed to help our spirit grow. We use both our spirit and our body to obey the commandments of God so that we may return to live with him. By not taking care of our bodies, we can show much disrespect to our Heavenly Father and also damage our spirit. Show more Show less
