Hi I'm Sydney Hartford

I grew up in Canada. I am music love. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was baptized when I was 18 years old into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have two older sisters and a twin. I am the only member in my family. I enjoy camping, hiking, volleyball, baking, cooking, and playing music. I play the guitar, violin and I sing. I went to school for Baking and Pastry Arts.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I did not have a testimony of God. Frankly I did not believe in God, so meeting with the missionaries and discussing a religion I hadn’t had the slightest idea about was nerve-racking. However the Spirit was so strong. I had felt an amazing and overwhelming feeling in my chest and a weight lifted off of my shoulders. I set a date for my baptism shortly thereafter, and although there was confrontation between myself and my friends and family, I knew that Heavenly Father would support me because I made the decision to show my faith and trust in him. When I was baptized I felt peace, and light. I felt like I had been washed clean and that I was able to start over. Since that day I have had the wonderful privilege to feel the presence and companionship of God in my life when I am living righteously. I have seen the many blessings that it has brought to those I know and love. I also know that when I am in need Heavenly Father will provide me with guidance through the Spirit.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a representative of Jesus Christ. I hope to obtain Christ like attributes in order to infulence thoughs I interact with. I also show my faith by being involved in services opportunities, like volunteering at homeless shelters, planning fundraisers and charity events and being available to those who are in need of help.

What is faith?

Sydney Hartford
Faith is a complete trust in Heavenly Father. That trust is defined by the ability to allow Heavenly Father to guide you on your path whatever He may have in store for you. Through trials and tribulations or victories and triumphs knowing he will be by your side. Faith is also shown by your humility. That may involve simply getting on your knees to plead for forgiveness when you have sinned or showing somebody who has wronged you compassion. Show more Show less
