Hi I'm Sarah

I live on an island, I sing in my car at the top of my lungs, I love a good apple pie and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Boston, but my family moved to Richmond, Virginia a few years ago. But my heart forever lies in Boston. I love to have a good time. I love going to the beach and being in the water as much as possible. That, my friends, is why I live on an island. I go to school in Hawaii and I'm about to go into my junior year there. I love learning about other people and other cultures, so I'm majoring in international culture studies. My dream job would involve me traveling around and just living with different groups of people. Our Heavenly Father has created such an amazing world for us with so much do, I feel like I'm wasting it by not seeing everything and everyone and learning a such as I can. And that is why I decided to serve a mission. So I can bring others to this same knowledge of a divine Father who has given them everything and more.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I want to be. That's really it. I've never been happier than I am right now. I did not make the best decisions in high school and one day I remember looking around at where I was and who I was becoming and I was not happy. I remember thinking that I can't do this anymore and that I need help to make my life better. I finally turned my will over his and saw my life transform. I was finally starting to become happy again. But it wasn't until I left on my mission and started studying about Christ and our loving Father in Heaven that it really started to hit me. As I started thinking less of myself and more about other people, I was smiling and laughing more. So, this gospel has brought me more happiness than I have ever felt or known! It has transformed me into a more confident, loving, happier person. I can now say without a doubt in my mind that I know Heavenly Father loves me and knows me individually. And the peace that comes with that is unmatched!

How I live my faith

I try to be as big of an example as I can be. I try to make the best decisions I can, but also not shy away from questions that I get. I also love to serve in anyway I can. Christ has helped me so much in my life, the least I can do is help others. Since I was young, my parents always instilled that since Christ has blessed us with a surplus, so we need to give it to those who do not. So I've spent most of my life collecting presents around Christmas time for those who can't provide for their families, cleaning homes, making meals, and doing whatever else I can do. So, I try to live my faith in a way that when people see me, they really see Christ.
