Hi I'm Eve Hanson

I'm married, a mother to seven grown children, and a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I love to read and write. I'm back in college to get my Bachelor's in English. My goals include writing novels and short inspirational stories, to become a college professor, and to have time to travel across the U.S. My hobbies include reading mystery novels and camping. I love flowers and try to raise them, but I have a black thumb and struggle to be successful in this endeavor. I appreciate the creativity of others and love getting art work from my family members and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I feel very strongly that living like the Savior every day is important. I needed a church that would support that goal and I found it. Whether it's through Sunday School lessons, serving the little ones in the nursery (my current service opportunity), or being a good example for my family, friends, and neighbors, I have found the support and guidance I need to be a successful Christian. Also, because none of us are perfect, I appreciate that the gospel teaches us how to apply the Savior's atonement in our lives and how it reminds us that God loves us regardless of our imperfections.

How I live my faith

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints in 1984 because it teaches us how to live like the Savior, Jesus Christ. Through my church service, I have learned about God's love for all of his children. I have also learned how to emulate the Lord in my daily life. The experiences I've had as a member has created in me a desire to serve my neighbors and friends, to help lift them whenever I can.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Eve Hanson
For me, life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a constant learning experience. I've learned how to view the world and other people through the Savior's perspective. Family is very important and I try to strengthen my family relationships. As a college student, I learn about many areas of life and my beliefs only enhance that learning. My family believes that humor is important and we appreciate any opportunity to include more of it in our lives. We also all love to camp and to serve our neighbors. Show more Show less
