Hi I'm Erika

I am from North Carolina. I'm a wife, a mom to three awesome girls, a dance teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a devoted wife and homeschooling mother who loves to spend time with family and enjoys teaching dance. When I met my Mormon husband I was baptist, starting my counseling career, and living life the best I knew how. I was happy! However, I didn't know that meeting my husband would bring a true joy that I had never known through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion story is simple. When I met my husband he was inactive, but he had the courage to defend the faith that he wasn't fully participating in at the time. He did it with such confidence that I just had to look into a faith that had family and service for all at the center of its church. As I spent an entire day on lds.org reading I was overcome with the spirit and knew The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was where I wanted to be forever. A few short months later I caused some very special sister missionaries to stumble over their chairs as I asked,"How do I get baptized?" I am a Mormon because I want to be "used." I want to serve and feel needed. I also want a strong family that desires to serve one another and be happy together. All because an inactive man had the confidence to defend what he believed I have all of that and more!

How I live my faith

I happily serve the youth in my ward! They bring a contagious energy and they make me want to keep reaching higher. I love the visiting and home teaching program. Being able to visit one another in a personal setting really helps to know our fellow brothers and sisters. When we build true relationships we are better able to carry out the council to bear one another's burdens. Every day I lean on the strengthening power of the scriptures. They help me be a better wife, mom, and friend and I'm grateful for the witness they provide as I nurture my relationships and help others come unto Christ.

Are Mormons Christians?

Erika
Yes! We believe in Jesus Christ and do everything in His name. He is our Savior and we love Him! Look at the name of our church: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is at the head of the church and the spirit will witness that, indeed, we are Christians to all who sincerely ask for the answer to this question. Show more Show less
