Hi I'm Chen Chen Dela Cruz

I am Charlene May "Chen Chen" Dela Cruz. I am a college student. I was baptized 2 years ago. I'm proud to say that I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 16 years old, turning 17 this May. I live in the Philippines. I'm an active member of the Church. I am the only member in our family. I love serving others. I'm a daughter of God who loves me. :) Before I met the missionaries, I attended different churches. I got confused what religion to join, so I prayed to Heavenly Father then He gave me the answer. I accepted the Gospel two years ago. I'm happy to be an active member. I work with the missionaries to help save souls. I'm happy to be a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know Heavenly Father loves me. I am a Mormon because I'm called to serve others even if I'm not a full time missionary. I am a Mormon because I love my Father in Heaven and I belong to true Church. I'm a Mormon because I'm blessed and happy with the Gospel. :)

How I live my faith

I do my best to work with the missionaries Sunday or whatever day I'm free. I'm working my personal progress now and I'm desirous to finish it and apply the principles I've learned. I'm very excited to attend every sacrament meeting because I know that I will be learning something new again. I am doing my best to be worthy to enter the Temple. :)

What is faith?

Chen Chen Dela Cruz
To have faith is to “hope for things which are not seen, which are true” (see Book of Mormon, Alma 32:21 and Hebrews 11:1). Each day you act upon things you hope for, even before you see the end result. This is similar to faith. Faith in God is more than a theoretical belief in Him. To have faith in God is to trust Him, to have confidence in Him, and to be willing to act on your belief in Him. It is a principle of action and power. The Book of Mormon prophet Alma compared faith to a seed. If you plant a seed and nourish it, if it is a good seed it will grow and eventually bear fruit (Alma 32:28-43). It is the same with faith. If you are obedient to God’s commandments, study His word, and have a desire to believe in Christ, faith will grow inside of you. Show more Show less
