Hi I'm Alma Osmeni.

I am a RM. I am a loving nanny. Now a student. I am Albanian, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was baptized at age of 14. With my mother, brother and my baby sister. Now my sister and my brother are serving full time missions on two different continents. I personally was called to an other continent. When I was 14 yr, I did think and believed that there was a God but NOT true religion or a Church that is lead and has as the head of it Jesus Christ Himself. I remember my mom being taught the 10 commandments of Moses in a young age from her Father during the Communism. She passed that down to us by reading the Bible together. Later we with our mom leading the way searched to know Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father better so we went in many different Church's that introduced different believes, in Greece and Albania. Then one evening we met with the missionaries. I wasn't that interested at that time. But I am so grateful that mom was. Her commitment to live the Gospel since day one when the missionaries asked her to do so, way before she was even baptized made me see the good change that was happening in her heart and life. So seeing this great fruits of True Happiness and Hope made me have a desire to Repent and get Baptized in the only true Church on the face of the earth, and I have no doubt about it. We have always striven to be very faithful in our thunderstorm and our sunshine days of our personal and family life. We have witness that the Atonement of Jesus Christ can heal and clean us if we let Him do so with our hearts and our own life's.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon? I am a Mormon because I know is the only true and complete Church/ Religion on earth. I know the head of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day-Saints that has the nickname Mormon is lead and guided my Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father themselves, through the help of their living Prophet and Apostles in each generation. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God without being changed a bit. It teaches us correct ways, to love and serve Jesus Christ and His children every where in the world. The Book of Mormon is a book filled with power to change each one of us and turn us from a natural human being to a saint. I am a Mormon because it has made me see and understand my purpose better of, why I was born, what am I suppose to do with my life, why do I suffer and what's the point of it? I am a Mormon because the restored knowledge has given me true hope, happiness, joy and the power to have a very personal relationship with my Heavenly Father and the Savior of the world Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Since the beginning of my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints I remember to be very engaged in accepting callings and creating activities. My first calling was a teacher in the Young Women class and I loved it. Then the Pres. of the Young Women class and I was serving my Young Women friends for the longest time. Then I served a mini mission in an other city of Albania at age of 19. Later when I turned 21 I was called to serve a full time mission for 18 months. So in the very end of my mission I was hoping to return home and sleep in every day. But little did I know, I was called as a early morning seminary teacher and because of the distance of my home to the Church I had to wake up not at 6:30 am anymore but 5 am and went to pick up some of my student through using public transportation, every morning. Then I left to live in Kosovo and there I was called to teach institute. When I came to US a year later I was called to serve as a ward missionary and a RS teacher. I have loved and cherished every single one of my callings. Serving is the most happy way to live our lives and also loving God and His children as He loves me personally. It has given me the opportunity to give love and receive love. It has helped me grow in knowledge and retain that knowledge. It has blessed me to share my testimony that Jesus Christ lives, that His Atonement is real. He loves and listens to our prayers and knows our hearts. He knows every single of us by name. He is our Redeemer. He is so loving and caring even when we might think that we do not deserve it. He loves every single one of us in this world wherever we might be at this time.
