Hi I'm Jill

I love to read. I am a full time wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Jill, and I love dancing in the rain, baking cookies, singing out loud, playing games with my children, reading every book i can find, knitting and crocheting in front of a warm fire, and being a good wife and mother. Right now, me, my husband, and our three sons life in Arizona while my husband is going to school. But we can't wait to move on to our next adventure, wherever that may be!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because.... I know that Christ lives. I know that He suffered for each of us so that we can return to live with our Father in Heaven. My testimony of Christs atonement was extremely strengthened just last year, I was in a different ward for Easter because we were visiting family, and a Sister was speaking about all of the trials she had been through recently, and one involved her son who was just diagnosed with a mental illness and how hard it had been for her to handle, she kept hearing the Spirit tell her that it's okay, Christ has suffered for you, He knows how you feel, etc. And she thought to herself, No, he does not. I am a mother, how could He possibly know how I feel, sure He suffered for me, but this is different. He doesn't really know. What she said had a very profound effect on me, she said the Spirit quietly whispered to her heart, No, He most assuredly does. He did not just suffer for you, He suffered as if he were you. I will never forget those words, I am a Mormon because I also know that Christ not only suffered for me, He suffered as if He were me. I know that I can repent because of his sufferings. All He expects from us in return is to do our best to keep His commandments, to serve others, and to endure to the end. He love us, and wants our love in return. He wants us to come back to Him. There is a song that I love that says, "Lord I will come, how could I stay, after what you have done, Lord I will come." That is why I am a member of the Church, I am trying to come unto Him.

How I live my faith

Right now I serve in our ward's Young Womens' and love every minute of it! I love watching the girls testimonies grow, and knowing that I can help them learn about the gospel makes me happy. We have activities every Wednesday evening, some are fun, some are service oriented, and others are designed to help the girls develop qualities and habits that will make them stronger followers of Christ.
