Hi I'm CJ

I grew up in Washington. I'm going on a mission to Russia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm days away from entering the MTC to serve a mission for the Church in Samara Russia. It's an interesting and exciting time in my life. I grew up in a small farm town in Washington with a very small Mormon population. I come from a very sports-oriented family and spent every free moment in athletics, basketball and tennis especially. I'm the youngest of 5 kids and I have 4 older sisters who, luckily, are as in to sports as I am. My family have been strong examples of faithful members and Priesthood holders throughout my life, and that has absolutely contributed to my preparing for-and looking forward to- serving a mission

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I grew up in a strong Mormon family that blessed me with a strong foundation to build my own testimony upon. I have had experiences in my life that have led me to seek out truth. If we have questions all we have to do is kneel and pray to the Lord for answers and if we ask with a sincere heart we will get an answer. I have had personal experience with this and can testify that if we put our faith and trust in the lord our lives will be so much better

How I live my faith

Living in a small town with hardly any members my age I always stood out. My friends knew I was Mormon (or that '3 hour church' as they referred to it). I was quiet about my faith and I think that I let what I didn't participate in speak for itself. There weren't a lot of questions asked, but I think being an example doesn't need to mean being preachy. It means being sincere, being the same person no matter were you are or who you're with, and looking out for people. I am looking forward to growing my knowledge of the Gospel and sharing what I know to be true with the people of Samara Russia.
