Hi I'm Mackenzie

I'm a teacher. An adventurer. A diver. An ocean lover. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending Brigham Young University and studying to be an elementary school teacher! I am from Seattle and love any chance to head back to the rainy city. I am a member of the BYU diving team and enjoy doing anything active or outdoors! The ocean is my favorite place, and I take any chance I get to explore with my SCBUA tank on my back. Traveling is my very favorite thing to do, to me there is nothing better than exploring a new place and experiencing a different culture.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it gives me hope and makes me happy. Every person on earth has countless trials that bring them down, cause self-doubt, break hearts, and so much more. When I go though hard times, and it seems like there is no way things could ever get better... I rely on the Lord. His comfort and guidance through the holy ghost, leaders and friends gives me the strength i need to push on the hope and knowledge to know that things will get better. That it will all be worth it one day. Above all, I am a mormon because it makes me happy. I can truly say that everything happy, exciting, joyful and fun in my life has come directly from the lord. I know for a fact that I would not be nearly as happy as i am now if i weren't living the gospel. Without the light of christ in my life, i would be lost. But here in this church, i am home, and i am oh so happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best I can be. I'm far from perfect, but i strive to be an example of what I know is true and right. I serve on the missionary committee in my ward where we focus our efforts on sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others! I also do family history work in hopes that my ancestors that didn't get a chance to hear the gospel on earth, will now have the chance in heaven.
