Hi I'm Elder Hart Anderson

I was born in Hawaii, but grew up in Utah. I was born and raised LDS. I am currently serving a full-time mission in Virginia.

About Me

I'm incredibly fascinated by deep-sea ocean life, and plan to one day study marine biology. I hope to, in my spare time, build a boat and find myself a little hide-away island. I really enjoy video games, but I'm pretty picky when it comes to what I play. I'm currently serving a full-time mission in the Washington DC South mission. The area pretty much covers northern Virginia. I love the area, aside from the humidity, which is killer.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the Church, and I've never seen any reason not to believe it was true. A while ago, I actually prayed to find out whether or not it was in fact true, and I received a strong answer, telling me it was. Since then, I have loved every minute of my membership. My faith has refined me to become the person I am today. Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know this. I love this. And, right now, I am living this.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission in Virginia. I love it here, because I have so much fun sharing the blessings I have received from my faith with everyone I meet.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Elder Hart Anderson
Not necessarily. All Mormon males who are worthy are asked to. Women don't really need to worry about it. They can if they want, though. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Elder Hart Anderson
I give full credit to our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. They formed the Church in the Beginning, they restored it through Joseph Smith, and they are now using missionaries such as myself, to spread the Word to all His children. Show more Show less

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Elder Hart Anderson
God the Father and Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was simply the vessel through which they chose to restore the Church to the Earth. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Elder Hart Anderson
Absolutely not. We are commanded to love everyone, which includes helping those who are not members of the Church. As a missionary, I am constantly looking for ways to help those of other faiths, and even those with no faith. In fact, that is my whole purpose as a missionary. We help people come unto Christ.
