Hi I'm Shelby

Utah Valley Girl! I love to be a Mormon

About Me

I'm a student in High School. I have lived in Utah my whole life, only been to Idaho and Montana. I love writing short stories, playing volleyball, softball and I love to dance. I've recently discovered that I love doing Family History and Indexing also. My favorite Book of Mormon hero is Helaman, he also if my favorite to read about because I think the chapters in the book of Helaman sound quite a lot like how the days of today are! I plan on becoming a doctor, and OBGYN to be precise, so I will be going to the DATC for some of my High School credits and I will one day be going to the University of Utah. Don't get me wrong, BYU is a fabulous place, it just doesn't have the program I need.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because that is what I believe. I was born into the Mormon church, but that doesn't automatically mean that I am a Mormon because my parents are. Every Mormon, whether they were born into the church or not, has their moment of complete conversion. Although, I have not reached that moment yet in my life, I have seen enough miracles and other witnesses in my own life to gain a testimony that this church is true, and it may be hard at time to live the gospel, especially in High School, it is worth it. By following my standards I have seen why the church has placed them there, and it isn't to punish us, but to make our life easier. I am a Mormon because it is what I put all my faith in, because it's true.

How I live my faith

I have been called as the Young Women's music coordinator in my ward, so I am very involved with all the girls, especially those who play a musical instrument or who are willing to share their talents with the Miamaids 1st Councilor, I have been in 5 different presidencies. I try my hardest to read and pray everyday and I try pretty hard to write in my journal at the very least, once a week.
