Hi I'm McKenna

My name is McKenna, and I am a Mormon. I have grown up in Provo and have lived in the same house my whole life.

About Me

I am the youngest in my family, and I have 3 sisters and 2 great and loving parents. Also, I am a dancer, but I prefer to be called a ballerina. I do ballet, contemporary, tap, hip hop, and jazz, and I have been for 11 years. I started ballroom last year, and am currently on my middle school's competition team. When I graduate high school (hopefully as a junior) I want to go to BYU or Julliard and then become a dancer for Ballet West. I currently dance at Spotlight Revue Dance Studio and have had 6 weeks of training at Ballet West Academy. So basically, dance is my whole life. I also enjoy being a Mormon, I know it, I live it, I love it. I don't know where I'd be right now without the gospel, so I am thankful for it.

Why I am a Mormon

Well my parents were raised Mormon, so I was raised Mormon. Leaving the church never sounded appealing to me, so obviously I still am one and so is my family. I would like to bear my testimony that I know this church is true. I know our Savior, Jesus Christ, suffered for our sins and died for us. I know that Joseph Smith went through so much to translate the Book of Mormon, which is now a blessing in my life. And I know that God has a plan for all of us and that is why all of us are here on Earth.

How I live my faith

Right now I am in one of the youth groups called Young Womens. It is an amazing program and there is this certain blessing that comes with it called Personal Progress. It helps us women develop faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, choice and accountability, good works, integrity, and virtue. Aside from that, one of my favorite parts is mutual where every Wednesday, the youth group in our ward, ages 12-18, get together and do fun activities with our youth group leaders. It is a life-changing and worth-while experience and it has made a huge impact on my life.
