Hi I'm Chrissy Craven

I am a wife. I am a mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother to 5 children, 2 precious girls, and 3 wild boys. We live in a very small town out in the country (am talking 900 people), where we know all our neighbors. We homeschool, go 4-wheeling, camping, and rock climbing. I am an avid picture taker (how can you not be when you have kids), and a fiercely devoted mother. My amazing husband is our primary bread winner, and is part of the organic, and non-gmo food movement, and I freelance graphic design. I love the now, which for me consists of pb&j stains, sticky juice boxes, kissing owies, endless laundry, gummy smiles, cheering home runs, and piles of dirty dishes. With 5 kids age 5 and under there is never a dull moment in our home. But I thank my Father in Heaven for all of my blessing every night before I pass out and start drooling into my pillow.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know my family relationships will continue beyond this life. Because, I love to sing the National Anthem with my hand on my heart, and get chills when I say the Pledge of Allegiance. I am a Mormon because I know my Heavenly Father loves me individually, and is there for me and my family in our times of need. I am a Mormon because I know our Father in Heaven loves His children enough to send us a prophet in these latter days, to lead and guide us with His words. I am a Mormon because I believe a young boy had enough faith to call upon his Heavenly Father in prayer, and I know that prayer was answered by a loving Heaven Father who directed the restoration of His gospel so that you and I could live with our families forever.

How I live my faith

We attend church (worship service) every Sunday as a family. We have family prayer. We read the scriptures to our children every night before bed. We have nightly family dinners and weekly family home evenings, where we gather as a family with the specific mission of growing closer together through a principle based lesson and family centered activity. We are involved in our community through service projects. We are teaching our children that when they are in the service of there fellow man, they are in the service of their God.
