Hi I'm Evy

I am a wife, mother of 9, a musician, seamstress, cake decorator and love creating beautiful things and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I married the love of my life 48 years ago. We have 9 wonderful grown children and 19 grandchildren. I love to create.....anything. I have been blessed with many talents and love to use them to help and serve others. I love sewing, arts & crafts, cooking & baking, the outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking. I currently have a cake decorating business and I love creating cute an beautiful cakes. I also love all aspects of theater.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in the teachings of the LDS church. I believe that we are literally children of our Heavenly Father, who planned for us to come to this earth to prove ourselves worthy to live with Him again one day. I know that, because He knew we would make mistakes in this life, He provided a Savior, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins, if we woud believe in Him and be faithful in keeping His commandments. I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who restored the true church of Jesus Christ to the earth and that God has given us a Prophet and apostles today to guide us. I believe these things because I asked God if these things are true and I know that they are. I love my Savior and I love serving Him by serving others. Through being a member of this church and following its teachings, I have lived a healthy, happy life, reaping the blessings of a wonderful life and family. We have had our trials and pitfalls, but through faith in Jesus Christ, we are able to rise above our difficulties. I know that Jesus Christ suffered all of our pains, physical, spiritual, & emotional, and He understands our trials, our feelings and our pain, and, if we will turn to him, he will help us through every trial in our lives. I love my Savior.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are Family History Consultants and have the opportunity to teach others how to, not only find their ancestors but to learn about them. I believe that when we learn about our ancestors, we learn about ourselves. I help with a lot of theater in our small community, both in the schools and in our town theater productions. I sew costumes and do make up, sets, props, as well as acting sometimes. I love working with children and teens. I am an activity day leader for about 5 or 6 little girls and we do fun, faith promoting activities a couple of times a month.
