Hi I'm Lielie Ah Fua

I am currently serving the people in Australia Sydney North for 18 moths. :)

About Me

I love netball, basketball, soccer, reading and also dancing. I joined the church in 2008 and its the best decision that I have ever made.

Why I am a Mormon

In 2008 I was taught by missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was a stubborn teenager who did not want to change her church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example and serving people around me. I read the bible and the Book of Mormon everyday and attend church every Sunday. I know that attending church is a way that we can receive direction from God. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and this church is directed by revelation and inspiration from God through the prophet Thomas S Monson. God lives. His son Jesus Christ is his son.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Lielie Ah Fua
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the event that enables us to be reconciled with our Heavenly Father. If it wasn't for the Atonement, life would end at death. And there would be no continuation after this life. The Saviour didn't just suffer for our sins. Alma 7:11 tells us in detail what the Saviour suffered for. ''And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people''. Jesus suffered for our sins, pains, tribulation and the temptation that we go through each day. He also suffered for our weaknesses. It is clear that the Saviour had so much mercy for us his brothers and sisters. And I am sure that it was hard for our Father in Heaven to let the Saviour suffered for us but that is the only way that we may have eternal life. In Alma 7:12. Alma, the Prophet of old in the Book of Mormon tells us: ''And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, THAT HE MAY KNOW ACCORDING TO THE FLESH HOW TO SUCCOR his people according to their infirmities''. The Saviour desired to atone for us so that he may know how we feel, in order for him to care or to comfort us. Show more Show less
